Snaggle tooth!

Hayden has been doing this. . .

and this. . .

And attacking Aunt Kinz. . .

Which left her hair looking like this. . .

All of this attacking and chewing resulted in this. . .

Yeah it looks like just gums here but please someone tell me how to pin down a 6 month old and get a picture of a budding tooth. Well this is the results. Yesterday (almost 6 months to the day) it broke through and it's like a razor. Both of his bottom are coming in but the one on the left broke through first. His top aren't far behind. Pretty soon he's going to look like a little hippo!

What kids are for. . . right?

I did a special for my massage business for this month and sent postcards out to my clients. Well, Hayden was the "center fold" of the card :) I LOVED how they turned out so I had to share. My sis-in-law took the pictures and was a big help to me. I so appreciate her bringing over her nifty black sheet and high tech camera. Thanks Terff (and JenAY for the photography tips)!

I thought we were quite clever in the saying. Thanks Hayden for being my nudest. What parents put their kids through!

Our Fall Happenings

We have loved the nice fall weather that we were able to have that it's kept us out and about. Now with all the snow and time change it seems like we're in bed and tired at 5:00. When in summer that's when we'd just get started. Limited light does that to ya I think, but we were so grateful for the great weather!

Chillin'
Hayden is getting so big right before our eyes! He's rolling all over now, but he's pretty good to just stay and play on the floor. If he gets mad or bored that's when the rolling begins.

Then he started movin in the crib. How the heck did he get that way? It was funny when we went in there though he thought it was too.
 * He is SO happy when he wakes up. He goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:00 and sleeps till 7:00 the next morning. I swear he has an internal clock because he wakes up within minutes of 7. It's amazing! We've been told that most babies don't sleep that well so we'll take it and consider ourselves spoiled :)
*He loves food! Thank heavens he got his mom's appetite. We get along well in that category. We started feeding him solids at 4 months and he wasn't crazy about it but at 4 1/2 months he got the hang of it and went wild. Basically anything we put in his mouth he'll eat. We've created a monster in the fact that when we are eating he follows every one of our bites to our mouth with his mouth wide open. We just have to be careful because when we feed the little bird too much he'll ralph it up. He's a binge eater :)

Eating pears for breakfast
The tub is another highlight of his day. Sometimes when he's in there it looks like he's doing some kind of water river dance. It's hilarious! We've noticed too that when he stops kicking and realizes that his ears are under water he holds his breath and then gasps after a few seconds and moves to come up for air??? What a silly kid.

Halloween was so much fun this year! It was fun dressing up and getting in the "spirit" of it. I found these scrubs online and thought it was perfect. Andrew's in nursing school so we thought it was appropriate that Hayden be like dad and be a nurse in training. I about died when I put them on him. It was pretty cute.

I brought Hayden to Andrew's work. They loved him!

We even got a mini stethoscope. It was awesome. The scrubs say "I'm New Here."

I was the patient and in good hands :)
Bry, Tiff, and Cade were hunters. . . if you couldn't tell

Hayden and Cade are 9 months to the day apart and bound to be best buddies

I had to add this one. This picture explains itself :) I love it!
Since Hayden was born Andrew and I, but especially Hayden, have been able to get really close with Andrew's Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. They have been able to watch Hayden at least once a week while I work. It's SO convenient and such a help to us. But it has also been such a great thing to be able to spend time at their house as well.
A week ago Grandpa Johnson had a major heart procedure that was very successful but has kept him in the hospital this last week. He has been leaps and bounds ahead of what they expected. Everyone is thankful for that. We were able to go see him a couple times and one of the times we made the trip with Hayden sporting this.

Grandpa got a kick out of it

He does love his Grandpa Great
With Grandma at the hospital taking care of Grandpa it's put her out of babysitting commission so we are so appreciative of our other family (Jamie and Avery :), Mom, Dad, Kinz and Loretta for letting us have our weekend get away ) that have been so nice to help us out and watch Hayden. I love the fact that I can work and get away for a little bit and Hayden can spend time with his family. It's a win win for us. So thanks SO much! And always thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Great for being our go-to.

Vote for Hayden!

I get an email from Parent's magazine every week updating me on everything and anything I should know about Hayden. Well they have this photo contest that you can enter so I entered Hayden for the heck of it. Well I think every photo that anyone enters is in the contest, but whoever gets the most votes wins $1000! Who couldn't use that? So now we need everyone to vote. You can vote once a day till the 17th. We're very prejudice but we think he's pretty dang cute, but we're his parents :) Thanks everyone! Here's the link:  Click here to vote for Hayden!

This is the photo that we entered. Can he win :)

Hayden chewing gum. . .

He does this all the time. I wonder what it will look like when he really has some gum in there. Pretty funny!
. . . Why is it when someone is behind the camera recording someone or something they turn into a complete idiot and don't realize it until they play it back? Well that's me, I've joined the "annoying person behind the camera" club! I'll have to remember that next time.

Simple but perfect

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary and we both can't believe how the time has flown. These past four years we've done some pretty fun stuff for our anniversary, but this year was a simple year but perfect :)
Thursdays are a REALLY bad day for Andrew. He wakes up at 6 a.m. and has to be to school at 7 and is in school till about 4. Goes over to his grandparents and sleeps till 6:30 and then has to be to work at 7 p.m. and doesn't get off till 7:30 a.m. So pretty much he's going for about 24 plus hours. So to have our anniversary land on a Thursday was not ideal.
When Andrew left this morning he made sure to tell me happy anniversary. I was a little groggy when he told me, but I remembered. When I did get up I went in the bathroom and he had left me a really cute note on the mirror. It was such a fun little surprise. I love it when he leaves me notes of any kind.

Andrew does get a lunch break so we were able to go to lunch together as one little happy family to Red Robin. Then he was headed back to school. I'm glad I was able to see him at least once today.

Here are 4 things I LOVE about Andrew:

1) I know that I am #1 in his life. I know that because of the way he treats me. I cannot imagine being in a marriage where the husband and wife don't put each other before the other one and that's what Andrew does. What a good example to Hayden and our future sons of how to treat their wife. And to our future daughters of what to look for in a husband. I would do anything for him, because I know he'd do it for me as well.

2) Oh the fun we have! We are so stupid together, but I love it. I could go on and on about the weird stuff we do and say to each other. I love our inside jokes and how we can just look at each other and know what the other one is thinking. I believe you really know someone when you can do that.

3) I love how Andrew isn't afraid to let down his guard and be sensitive. He's not ashamed to tear up when something is touching. There have been a few times we'd be watching a show and I'd be crying and then I'd look over and so would Andrew. I love that we can spend hours just talking, discussing, and dreaming.

4) Andrew is such a hard and good worker. I know that I will always be provided for because of his work ethic. I'm so proud of him for doing so well in school and thankful for the sacrifice that he is making to be there. It'll pay off in the end!

I am so grateful that I married my best friend. What a comfort it is to know I can be with Andrew and my family forever. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Just because we didn't do something outstanding for our anniversary doesn't make it any less special. Anything I get to do with him on our anniversary makes it a perfect one. I look at what we've been able to accomplish and the things we've been through together these past four years and I think we're doing pretty good. What a cute, fun, little family we have. Happy Anniversary Andrew, cheers to many more! I love you forever and always.

Unpublished Pictures :)

We're scheduled to get family pictures with my side of the family this month and I realized that I never posted Hayden's first pictures. It was when he was 2 weeks old. So little! Here's a few of our favorites.

We love summer!

Tiff came to help with the pictures because Jen was very pregnant when she took them. Thanks again Jen for sacrificing your body for our pictures! But we had to get a few with Cade and Hayden together, hanging out in their swim suites ;)

Proud Parents

After looking at these pictures I can't believe how big he is now. He's had a rough little go these passed few weeks however. We're still trying to figure things out along the way. I've had to supplement more with formula, because I'm not producing as much milk or he's just wanting more. Which frustrates me because I had SO much in the beginning. Andrew teases me and says he's going to have to put me down because I'm not producing and that leaves another mouth to feed this winter. . . I must have some good self esteem when I don't mind being referred to as a cow :) But since using the formula Hayden's little tummy hasn't liked it all that much. So he's been fussy and has been crying a lot. I can't complain too much  though because he sleeps through the night and has since he was about 7 weeks old. Which I didn't know was uncommon until I talked to other moms. He usually will go down about 8-8:30 p.m. and wakes up around 7-7:30 the next morning. I LOVE it!
We're excited to get our new pictures and see how much he's changed. It's crazy how fast they grow!

Tahoe and the Prince

We just got back from our trip to Lake Tahoe with Andrew's family. Wow did we have our ups and downs, but overall a fun trip. We left late Friday because we thought Hayden might need the extra time to get there. . . . lets just say the rest of the family left the day after us and we got there only hours before everyone else. To put it nicely it was hellacious getting there. We joked that we'd have to stop at the rest stop by the lavas, not so funny when we actually had to stop there because Hayden was absolutely maxed out already and screaming. We noticed later in our trip that he had a diaper rash and so we think that's why he couldn't handle it. Poor little guy I don't blame him.
All smiles before the trip
This mirror saved my back so I didn't have to dive over the seat every 5 minutes to check on him.
Content. . . .
. . . . wait for it. . . .
This says it all
So at one point in the drive Andrew looked in the mirror and he said " Oh, no Price Hayden is waking up." I don't know why I found that so funny, but I laughed so hard for so long. After that we started calling him Prince, because we were catering to his every whim. Then we started joking and saying that he needed to be fed grapes and fanned with a leaf. We had to find something funny about the situation. We got about half way and then stopped at a hotel in Elko. None of us could take it anymore.
We joked that "Prince Hayden" didn't have enough room in the king size bed so he made us sleep on the floor. We love this picture!
Disgusted with the service :)
The next day we got up and drove to my friend Lindsey's house in Fallon. It was a welcomed stopped as well. They cooked us lunch and we got to visit with them for a couple hours. Thanks Abe and Lindsey!
Hayden's future friend Crew
Lake Tahoe was SOOO pretty! The water honestly reminded me of the Caribbean. It was so blue and clear. It wasn't quite as warm but so nice to be in. We got to go boating for a couple days, took a road trip to the Donner museum (you'd think we'd learn not to do that),went golfing, ate yummy food, hung out with family, and enjoyed being on vacation!

Donner monument. That's how high the snow was. 22 feet
Andrew and Mrs. Donner ? ? ?
Emerald Bay
We went golfing and hiking all in one. I was actually sore the next day. It was so woodsy!
Todd, Andrew, and Dave
Hayden LOVES the boat
Jamie having fun ? ? ?
A great way to end the trip. He was awake about an hour of the 11 on the way home. It was AWESOME!
We took Hayden in for his doctors appointment today and he weighs 10 pounds 5 oz (15%) 22 1/2 (28%). So he's still a little guy to everyone else, but big to us. We told her about our trip and the concerns we had about the fluctuating elevation on his ears. She said his right ear was red and he could have an ear infection coming on. She told us that it's hard on babies ears when you change elevation a lot. She also said that she noticed a slight heart murmur that she hasn't noticed before. But she's not worried about it. We decided not to give him his shots till next month which we're glad we decided before hand after hearing all of that. So all in all Hayden did really good considering everything that the little guy was going through. Now we just understand a little better :) We had fun and are looking forward to our next big adventure!
